MENOW KISSPROOF LIPSTICK in #11

It is my first time to use the Menow kissproof lipstick.It’s not available locally I got it from beautymnl for only P149.00 and P50.00 for the shipping fee. Why not?

I watch a YouTube video about this product and seem very pigmented and easy to apply. I was attracted and almost decided to purchase all the shades. But I realized that I have to try it out first.

Claimed

This liquid lipstick instantly lifts and hydrates lips.

Gives rich, creamy and long wearing color.

Powdery matte

Made from china specifically Xiashan , Chaonan district Shantou City Guangdong

( I don’t understand haha)

First, I have to say that it’s NOT a liquid type of lipstick. It’s a LIP CRAYON 

  

and I don’t think it helps to hydrate you lips. It’s a freaking matte not even semi. So how can that be?

  

Second, I don’t think it gives rich and creamy finish. The formula is yet powdery, sticky and thick.

  

Lastly, only thing that is true to its claim is its long wearing formula. Certainly!

 

What is it about the product that I like?

 I like the pencil style – I actually bought a makeup sharpener for this

It is color coded

I like that it includes the MFD and expiration – what I always look at

the shades comes in a number coded which makes it easy to remember  

Packaging is Informative

Labeled well and detailed

Very cheap – P149.00

Color pay off – very pigmented

True matte

Easy to apply on first swatch

Light weight at first swatch

Kiss proof – it doesn’t transfer

available in different shades

What I HATE about it? Literally!

  

It’s hard to remove (with wet wipes, water, and makeup remover. Name it!)

I hate using liquid type of lipstick especially if it’s matte and with this? Oh-em! I feel like I got one. Regrettably! Like why?!

Very sticky

Feels THICK after 3 – 5 minutes

It dries like there’s no tomorrow haha! Seriously!

Smells like crayon

Emphasize dryness and lines on your lips

  

Painful when tryin to remove – terrible!

Color cracks even after minutes of application

NOTE: Lip balm is NOT a cure. Promise! Try putting it on top? And the color won’t show up! Disappointing!

  3. Hi! Have you tried mattifying the stickiness using a translucent powder? I’ve been meaning to try this product but I’m quite hesistant due to the fact that it’s pretty cheap it-my-not-be-good (haha, maybe it’s just me) so anyway, I keep on watching youtube reviews about this (and they advised topping it off with translucent powder) sana effective. Thank you 🙂

      3. I bought 2 shades all ready. I like matte lipstick since I’m a call center agent. Salita kami ng salita and later on wala na pistick namin pag di matte ang gamit. Just wondering pano ba to tatasahan? Kase mukhang plastic sya. Mapupudpod na yung nude ko. #17

  8. Hi, i just wanted to leave a comment for the people concerned because the product is made in China. Menow is a legit brand and therefore they have to go through the same testing that any other brand (say mac or revlon) have to go through to make sure their products are safe. Products that might be unsafe are fake name brand products 🙂

  10. I tried one. Then problem ko is since pudpod na sya.. I dont know if defected ba nabili ko kasi tried winding it like other lipstick para lumabas ung nasa loob but nothing happens.. Then. May nag sabi na tinatasahan.. Omg.. Its like plastic plus it wont fit sa big pencil holed na pantasa… Ewan.. Naloloka ako! Help naman..buti nalang isa lang binili ko..

  11. You need to use oil in order to remove it completely and painlessly. Oil is what you always use in removing kissproof or waterproof lipsticks.

  12. Bakit kaya ganun? Pag inaapply ko siya parang nahihilo ako. I don’t know kung dahil sa ingredients. But meron siyang 2 types ng paraben na nakalagay dun sa box. Help please huhuhu naexperience nyo rin ba?

  13. Bought 2 shades of this. Maganda sana yung shade pero same effect like what happened to yours – color cracks and very dry talaga. Even after applying lip balm, wa epek. And I thought something’s wrong with mey lips ang kaya so thankful for this honest review. Parang ikaw palang nakita ko nagbigay ng ganitong feedback. Kudos!

Thank you.I have to be very honest about it.This was posted a year ago even before pa mag click si menow…the hype this year will really encourage you to buy pero kahit anong uso niya good thing di na ko umulit since nglabas na din ng statement ang FDA na delikado siya not safe to use and not approve by their institution.

  14. siguro depende sa shade na gamit mo.
    meron din ako kissproof #11,same effect din sayo.
    sticky,color crack,dry.i tried applying first lipbalm,then yung kissproof,naging mas ok yung effect.
    sa other shade nmn na meron ako,hindi nmn gnyan ung effect sakin..
    pag tatanggalin ko na,i use cloth.mas madali matanggal.and hindi pa masakit.

  16. Ive been using #5 and it is ok
    i think you already know that is is drying so use a lipbalm before appying it AND DO NOT PUT THE BALM ON TOP OF THE CREAM.

    Its ok. actulaly i really like it
    just moisturize ur lips and –wipes can erase it
