Pink Sugar’s Our Lil’ Secret Concealer

Disclaimer: Unbiased review for your reference. I have smooth skin but I’m not spared from pores on my cheeks, redness around my nose and appearance of veins. Also, I have combination skin; I get oily on my t-zone area. For the lipstick I love wearing semi to matte formulation and with that,I have high tolerance with matte lipstick. Also,I always exfoliate my lips.Better check your skin types and preferences DO NOT put the blame if certain product doesn’t work the same.

I got it last December and was really curious since a lot have been raving about it. Basically, Pink sugar is the newest stall at SM Manila and SM Makati that started out last October 2015 I guess. And they sell essentially beauty products at a very reasonable cost. So without further ado here’s my in depth review about the concealer.

Price: P299.00 – very affordable for a concealer

Net Wt: 13g / 0.46 oz

Validity: Good for 12months

Shades: It has 4 shades (Light, Light Medium, Medium and Medium Deep)

Packaging: This reminds me so much of my Victoria Secret lip balm, packaging almost the same.

Coverage: medium to full – product is buildable too.

Texture and Consistency: First of all I noticed that all the shades has a yellow undertone which I really love and definitely suitable for all skin types. Now coverage wise, it is medium and very buildable. It’s not creamy and sets quickly into flat finish. It will look patchy on the skin if you don’t blend it well, once it’s set it will not move even if you apply foundation or powder, get sweat and tend to oil up. I like how it last longer than the usual concealer that I’m using. This reminds me of the MAC pro-long wear concealer.

Lasting Power: 5-6 hours before I noticed fine lines under my eyes.

Overall, if you have redness, minimal skin imperfections this will work best for you. But if you have major acne or blemishes 2 layers is needed. Thus, if you have dry skin I recommend you use an eye cream or a moisturizer so as not to emphasize dry areas and to avoid caking cause by thick formulation. Yes this tends to cake if you put too much, make sure to blend right away to avoid patchy having difficult to re-do.
